I’m thrilled today to share with you another pivotal milestone in DataHero’s story: the close of our Series A funding round, a $6.1 million investment led by Foundry Group. Over the past three-and-a-half years, the team at DataHero has worked tirelessly to create the leading self-service Cloud BI platform, empowering our customers around the world to understand the data that matters to them. Today’s commitment by Foundry Group is a testament to that hard work and to our ongoing belief that customers in this emerging market need innovative, self-service solutions that aren’t reliant on IT or costly professional services.
As we look ahead, the shift to the cloud is continuing to accelerate and the emerging Cloud BI market is quickly heating up. In order to put DataHero in the best possible position to succeed, we’re bolstering our already strong executive team by adding Ed Miller as DataHero’s new CEO. Ed was most recently with Blackboard and brings with him 25 years of enterprise software experience, including significant experience in the data space. With Ed’s arrival, I’ll transition to leading our product team as DataHero’s Chief Product Officer, giving us the one-two punch with Ed’s strong leadership driving revenue and profitability and my 10+ years of experience developing innovative, market-leading data solutions.
I’m incredibly proud of all the work that everyone at DataHero has done so far, and humbled that customers and analysts alike have recognized DataHero’s unique value proposition as the only true self-service Cloud BI platform. Our team is committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers in this emerging market. With the support of Foundry Group and our Series A funding, strong leadership and an amazing team, I couldn’t be more excited about the future of DataHero!
