ZuoraAndDataHero

Today, we’re very excited to announce a new partnership with Zuora, a highly customizable enterprise billing solution. You’ll need a reporting solution as customizable as that billing solution. If you’re a Zuora customer, you have complex requirements and DataHero is flexible enough to address your enterprise analytics needs. You don’t have to be in IT for this enterprise reporting, just drag and drop the information you’d like to visualize onto the chart canvas and DataHero does the rest. Simply import your Zuora data into DataHero and easily create visualizations that truly represent your business.

  • By connecting DataHero to your Zuora account you can answer questions like:
  • What does my monthly recurring revenue look like?
  • How has my revenue changed by plan over time?
  • What sign up cohorts are the most valuable to my business?

After you’ve signed up for your free DataHero account, connect DataHero to your Zuora account then import the Transactions report to get started. Here are a few examples of the questions you can explore.

Monthly Recurring Revenue

A very common chart, monthly recurring revenue, is created in two drags of the mouse in DataHero:

This chart gives us an overview of revenue by month, that can be automatically updated as the data in Zuora changes.

Revenue by Plan Over Time

Further analysis by plan helps us identify how plan revenue grows or decreases over time.

In the example above we can see that Enterprise revenue is accounting for more and more or our sales, which can help us determine future marketing strategy.

Cohort Analysis

Cohort analysis is a powerful technique for understanding how groups of users behave over time. How does the behavior of users who registered this month differ from those who registered last month? This cohort analysis is very simple in DataHero and creates the chart below:

Here we can see that users who signed up in July of 2013 have kept up a fair amount of subscriptions, and there were fewer users who signed up in October, November and December, who thus bring in less revenue.

Import your Zuora data into DataHero and get the payment data answers you need in a few clicks of your mouse. Keep your charts updated automatically and even combine your payment data with other datasets, like email campaigns, for more insights.
